Theater of mind.

Angkuy dan Nobie sudah dipaksa secara akademik untuk ber-theater of mind ketika belajar Broadcasting Radio di Fikom Unpad. Sejak 2003, mereka berdua sudah memiliki kebiasaan untuk berimajinasi melalui pikirannya, berimajinasi membentuk sebuah cerita, kisah, drama, film, atau sebuah proses alam bawah sadar yang menyenangkan untuk dirinya sendiri melalui media pikirannya sendiri. Oleh karena itu, hanya dengan media komputer beserta software music yang diajarkan di perkuliahannya, mereka mampu membuat musik melalui proses ber-theater of mind.

Yeah, memang tidak semua orang bisa menangkap pesan atau kenikmatan / kesamaan persepsi dari apa yang diimajinasikan pikiran Angkuy dan Nobie, tapi semangat dan pencurahan ide-ide di kepalanya terus tersalurkan, karena bagi mereka, ber-theater of mind ini tidak mengeluarkan suatu energi atau finansial yang mahal, cukup mencari trigger yang kuat dengan takaran yang pas sehingga kita serasa berada di dunia yang entah dimana, meskipun itu hanya dengan mendengarkan musik, bahkan hanya sebuah alunan nada tanpa vokal.

Oleh karena itu, Angkuy dan Nobie, bersama keluarga kecil Bottlesmoker ingin mencoba berbagi tentang indahnya theater of mind, duduk, memejamkan mata, meresapi musik yang merasuki sel-sel otak, atau pun membukakan mata kita menikmati visualisasi yang memperkuat imajinasi. Theater of mind, proses meditasi dan audio-visual-therapy.

Audio-Visual Concert

Di konser ini, Bottlesmoker mencoba menyajikan sebuah pertunjukan musik yang didukung penuh oleh visual. Musik Bottlesmoker yang instrumentalist dan bermain di arena eksperimen akan dibantu oleh divisi visual untuk men-trigger ber-theater of mind pengunjung.

Di konser ini, Bottlesmoker yang biasa bermain duo, akan dibantu oleh beberapa additional player, karena (sekali lagi) mereka ingin melakukan eksperimen memainkan semua bebunyiannya secara manual, dan tentu saja melibatkan equipment mereka yang berupa hardware dari toy musical instrument dan custom equipment, juga tentu saja software live PA and real time. Di divisi visual, yang hanya digarap oleh dua orang akan menyajikan full time visualization dan sedikit mapping di beberapa sudut bidang gedung. Membentuk sebuah synchronization antara audio dan visual akan menjadi menu utama di konser ini. Beberapa konsep visual akan menjadi pendukung utama untuk ber-theater of mind bersama pengunjung yang datang.

Back in 2002, when five old fellas united by their common interest in music.

But somehow they’ve made a lot of stunning performance in Indonesia “Polyester embassy – Tragicomedy Concert” and Malaysia “Polyester embassy – Tragicomedy tour in 2007”…and Have a lot of Collaboration with So many electronic musician For Some Live Performance Such as : Hendra (RNRM), Deena dellyana (Homogenic),Evan (Storn Modular), Iman (Electrofux), and Souldelay.

So far, the band has Released Full length album called Tragicomedy.Released by FFWD Records ( Bandung based Record label ) In 11 november 2006. Gained inclusion into the late-'90s Electronic Rock surge due chiefly to the labels their recordings appeared on, not the actual music they produced. Their sound, a variant of the Krautnoize sound coaxed into a relaxing Anti depressant vision of the late 90s, looked back to a variety of phenomena from the period – Guitar and synthesizer from new wave music of the nonspiky variety, and obscure film soundtracks.. And the point are they love to play a lot of Musical instrument and mixed up with a song which they try to sing it on the other ways.

Well, after being considerably ‘lost’ for almost 6 years, Polyester Embassy finally going to launch their second album titled ‘Fake / Faker’, released by FFWD records this year. But there is a reasonable premise on this procrastination. That’s why they’ll held a hearing season on behalf of your deeper understanding on the tracks.

“We lived in a third world, where first is the inventors, second is original, and third : there is only fake / faker. But it’s permitted and permissible (cut, copy, paste, edit, etc.) as long we could be responsible of it. What we heard, saw and idolized, that’s what’s makes us now”, Elang Eby said.

It take 2 years for this album to finished, and spite of it’s similar ambience with their previous album, they’ve added experimental sound characteristic that makes it sound more ‘ripe’ in a way with a touch of vivid and optimistic tone, though we know word could never describe sound enough. Just listen to their first single “Space Travel Rock n Roll”. Yes, this album contain 9 tracks that surely worth the waits.

They’re also going to share their EP : Space Travel Rock n Roll that consists of 2 tracks : “Space Travel Rock n Roll (Radio Edit)” and “She’s a Fish (Demo)”. “She’s a Fish” it self is an unreleased song from their first album. For the first edition, we’ve invited our friends from Fast Forward Records (Bandung) to showcase the bands under their label.

Fast Forward has become a pioneer in the local indie scene since they began in early 2000. They have successfully toss the musical journey of Mocca and The S.I.G.I.T up in the air of the international indie music world.
Since Mocca and The S.I.G.I.T both have performed at “SUPERBAD!”, Fast Forward will be showcasing four of their roosters on this occasion.

layung sarasvati berkarat,tanaman yang terhias ditaman pun ikut menyaksikan live perform sarasvati yang sempat diguyur hujan sore itu, aura mistik mulai terasa ketika bilur dibawakan,yups.. betul,suara karingding attack berada di samping kanan dan teriakan sinden berada disebelah kiri.hmmm... ternyata sarasvati sedang berkolaborasi dengan keduanya,dilou belle shop jl setiabudhi no 56. Mungkin hari ini dewa hujan sedang marah sehingga awan pun "nyakclakan sampai terlihat didedaunan taman",ungkap man personil karinding attack.

adapun perform dari komunitas teater sastra perancis yang memeriahkan acara mikro gigs layung sarasvati berkarat ini, mencoba dengan aksi berdiam diri dan hanya menatap penonton dengan tatapan kosong,sempat ada yang terkejut penonton dibuatnya, padahal mereka hanya memberikan snack yang berupa permen gulali.opak,dan kecimpring makanan khas purwakarta tersebut. ketika sesaat break adzhan magrib.mikro giggs mulai dilanjutkan dan hujan pun mulai reda kembali. "so sebelum dewa hujan marah,ayo kita lanjutkan" tutur risa vokalis sarasvati.

Lepas dari ketidakcocokan visi masa depan homogenic dan Risa Sarawati mantan vokalis homogenic yang resmi mengundurkan diri pada 28 September 2009. Konser Homogenic yang digelar 17 april 2010 sekaligus untuk launching album ketiga nya yang bertitel Let A Thousand Flower Bloom di dago tea house indoor,Bandung banyak mengundang penasaran para penggemar homogenic. Tentu yang membuat penasaran adalah vokalis baru mereka yaitu, Amanda Syachridar dan konsep musik yang menurut dina dellyana salah satu personel Homogenic lebih nge-beat.

Pada penampilan perdananya malam itu Amanda terlihat belum mampu untuk melepaskan image Risa Sarawati vokalis terdahulu Homogenic. Sedangkan dari segi aransemen dan instrumen memang banyak berubah. Dari tambahan instrumen yaitu,Perkusi dan drum. Dari sisi aransemen pun berubah, lebih banyak beat yang ditawarkan. Berbeda dengan dahulu dimana musik Homogenic terlihat dan terdengar muram dan absurd.

Menurut Gebeg, additional drummer jeruji yang malam itu juga terlibat menjadi additional drummer Homogenic mengatakan,” kalau dulu selagi masih ada risa unsur vokal pop nya sangat kental. Kalau sekarang dengan Amanda ada unsur beat-beat latin, funk dan house-nya. Lebih ceria.”papar nya.

Gebeg juga menambahkan untuk masalah selera itu terserah kesukaan masing-masing penggemar homogenic. Dari sisi konsep aransemen musik pun menurut gebeg lebih variatif karena memasukan unsur entik nya.

“ya lebih variatif saja,”ujar gebeg.

Sementara megadeth (manager JERUJI), mengatakan kalau dari sisi aransemen musik Homogenic masih konsisten pada jalurnya. Ada beberapa eksplorasi tapi masih tetap jelas benang merahnya.

“ memang ada beberapa kekurangan dari segi teknis waktu dea gagal memainkan tembang dengan nuansa drum n bass sehingga cukup membuat beberapa penonton kecewa, lalu balancing kayanya kurang sehingga dina dan dea kedengeran patarik-tarik (saling berebut),amat disayangkan visual selalu tabrakan dengan lighting,padahal itu keren banget tapi secara keseluruhan semuanya oke”. paparnya

Tak lupa akan jasa risa yang sangat besar dalam mempertahankan ke-eksistensian Homogenic. Dina mengatakan diatas panggung, “Risa itu penulis lagu yang hebat, semoga Risa sukses dengan solo projectnya, Go Risa Go Risa Go””. Lalu homogenic mempersembahkan lagu “senja berganti” ciptaan risa sebagai penghargaan untuknya.

konser Homogenic tersebut akhirnya berakhir setelah mereka kembali ke panggung atas permintaan para penggemarnya dengan membawakan lagu dari album lawas mereka yaitu berjudul Transmutasi.
